WIUS 88.3 FM – The Dog

WIUS-FM, “88.3 The Dog,” is Western Illinois University‘s award-winning, student-run radio station that is on the air 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

WIUS provides real-world experience in all aspects of radio broadcasting. Students have opportunities to do a variety of on-air jobs to train them for future radio careers. At WIUS, students are music DJs, sports talk show hosts, news announcers and public affairs reporters. Students also do live color and play-by-play for Western Illinois Leatherneck sporting events including football and men’s and women’s basketball.

88.3 The Dog currently airs alternative rock music from 5:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday and all day on Sunday. Sports talk shows air daily from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. And finally, Urban music (hip-hop/rap) is aired from 7:00pm to 5:00am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday.
