Sen. Kirk Dillard – Politician

Kirk W. Dillard, a former Republican member of the Illinois State Senate, is also a Western Illinois University alumnus. He is also the former chairman of the DuPage County Republican Party. Dillard’s professional experience also includes working as Chief of Staff to Illinois Governor Jim Edgar, Legislative Affairs director to Illinois Governor James “Big Jim” Thompson, and Illinois state chairman for ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council). Additionally, he has served as the chairman of the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) Board of Directors since June 2014.

The Senator was born in Chicago in 1955. He graduated from Hinsdale Central High School, where he is now a Hall of Fame Alumnus, received his B.A. from WIU, and later obtained his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law. Dillard serves as a Public Policy School mentor for the University of Chicago.
