One Human Family Presentation

January 29 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Macomb, One Human Family will share information about their organization, their message and their work, along with time for questions and answers. The event, which is open free to all WIU students, faculty and staff and Macomb-area community members, is sponsored by the Western Illinois University Office of the President (Interim President Martin Abraham), Office of the Mayor (Mike Inman) and the City of Macomb.

The workshop is the result of a action item list created at the end of a five-workshop racial justice series that the church hosted in Fall 2019. Forty-two community members participated in the workshops, although, according to Sarah Schoper Salazar, who facilitated the workshops series, individuals interested in attending the Jan. 29 presentation need not to have participated in the previous workshops.

“You only need to be a caring community member who believes that all people matter,” she added.
