Macomb Balloon Rally

September 9-10th, 2011

It's a fantastic world of color in the sky! This past year, in 2010, people gathered to enjoy 27 hot air balloons at the Macomb Balloon Rally. The Macomb Balloon Rally festivities take place at Vince Grady Field on the campus of WIU. There is annually a mass ascension on Friday evening, a fly in to Vince Grady Field Saturday morning, another flight Saturday evening, topped with the very popular balloon glow at dusk!  Bring your cameras and lawn chairs or blankets!

Macomb Farmer's Market

May 26th - October 22nd, 2011

The Farmer's Market is a great place to get locally grown produce, baked goods and other items. This event takes place on the Square in downtown Macomb every Thursday and Saturday from 7a.m. until 1p.m.

The Annual Gazebo Art Festival

September 24th, 2011!

Welcome! The Gazebo Art Festival is an annual arts festival held outdoors on the grounds of Chandler Park in downtown Macomb, IL. Chandler Park boasts a picturesque gazebo, founding, memorials, brick paths and shaded lawns. This setting is a wonderful place for the public to view original art, chat with the artists, enjoy live music performances of the Al Sears Jazz Festival, art activities for children and food!

Macomb Heritage Days Festival

The Annual Heritage Days Festival takes place in the historic downtown of Macomb in Chandler Park. The Park is located at the intersection of highway 67 and 136. This past year marked the 30th Anniversary of Heritage Days and the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War. The 2011 Heritage Days theme was "A Salute to the Civil War- The 150th Anniversary."

The festival annually features live entertainment, food, a carnival, a parade and much, much more! Local businesses, class reunions, services organizations and other local entities are encouraged to participate in the annual Heritage Days Parade, taking place in June of each year. This is an event for the entire family!
