See what's new for inside...outside...and all around at this year's Home and Lifestyle show March 20-21, 2010 in Western Hall on the campus of WIU. Show times are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday. This event will be an ideal place to get great ideas for improving home decor for function and style. There will be thousands of dollars in door prizes. Grand prize is a Living Room makeover from Modern Home, Midwest Floor, Home Center and a TV from Gamages TV and Appliance ($5,000 value).

Show features Hy-Vee and Pepsi's "The Price is Nice" game, an inflatable fun area for kids by Macomb Skateland and much more! Admission and parking are free.

"Quilt Stories"

January 9, 2010 - April 24, 2010

The Western Illinois Museum is pleased to present "Quilt Stories" about the history of quilts from the region. Each of the quilts in the exhibit tells a unique story of families, influence, invention, beliefs and political interests. The exhibit includes over twenty quilts that represent the rich history of over 100 years of quilt making in the region sewn by women from Carthage, Good Hope, Macomb and Bushnell with examples from as early as 1848. The quilts will be on display at the Western Illinois Museum located 201 S. Lafayette at the corner of Washington Street. The museum is open 10-4, Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free and all donations are welcome.
